Abstract:
One important role of a plant breeder is to be a visionary, a dreamer! For a dream to be realized, a set of ingredients and tools must be in place.
In this seminar, Glenn will present his dreams when he started at IRRI 29 years ago—how IRRI had realized those dreams, what dreams have been fulfilled, and the lessons learned and challenges met along the way. With new developments and transformations at PBGB, Glenn will be casting new dreams for the next 10-20 years.
